Microsoft recently launched Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE), which provided real-time protection for home computers against viruses, spywares and other malicious software. MSE is free for download from Microsoft Security Essentials website.
MSE uses the same technology as the other Microsoft enterprise-scale security product: Forefront Client Security (FCS). However, MSE is created with a very simple interface, to make it easier to use by home users. Of course, the simple interface will not provides advanced setting which often required by enterprise users. That’s why, MSE is targeted for home users, while enterprise users are still recommended to use FCS.
