Last week, Joan took a blood test and EEG test. Joan routinely took blood test, because the medicines that she take is quite strong. The blood test will show whether there is side effects to her liver and kidneys. The result is good, both her liver and kidneys function normally. This time the test is quite interesting, because we take her blood while she is sitting (on my lap). Usually we took it in a sleeping positing. This time, the nurse insist that Joan must be in a sitting position, because it is much easier to put the needle in and to also reduce her spastic reaction. And she is actually right, just one try and the blood is flowing. In previous occasions, it took several minutes. Next time, we will always use the sitting position again.
Joan also took EEG test routinely, to see whether her seizures has gone or not. Dr Dwi usually use the EEG test result to see whether he need to increase the medication dosage or not. Well, this time we still see some seizures. So, Dr Dwi increased her Depakane and Topamax dosage.
